All CBT certificates are valid for two years. You need to retake the CBT if both the theory and practical tests are not completed within the two year period if you wish to continuing riding.

A DL196 (CBT) certificate validating full moped (a 50cc motorcycle with a top speed of 31mph) entitlement on a full UK licence is not subject to expiry.
